Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Roadway Engineer/Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting roadway design and preparing detailed plans for highway projects.
- Leading project initiatives, managing designated tasks, and effectively communicating progress to transportation leadership.
- Overseeing project scheduling, progress reporting, and cross-functional coordination.
- Developing project proposals and cost estimates.
- Compiling final project documentation, including quantity take-offs and comprehensive plans.
- Collaborating strategically with team leaders to enhance our competitive offerings.
Required Skills
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- Familiarity with AASHTO, FHWA, and INDOT standards.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a team setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in following directions and sharing ideas collaboratively.
- Experience with MicroStation OpenRoads is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of Alternative Delivery Projects is an asset.
Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Experience in professional design and the preparation of plans for both interstate and local road/street projects.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, or candidates should obtain this within six months of employment.
