POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to serve as a key point of contact for our clients on all custom seating projects. In this role, you will ensure comprehensive project management, overseeing estimating, quoting, technical design, shop drawings, delivery, installation, and punch list processes. You will coordinate schedules, budgets, and resources while maintaining direct communication with interior designers, architects, contract furniture dealers, millworkers, and general contractors. This position is remote and reports to our Customer Success Team Lead.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Scope Assessment: Evaluate the scope of work for custom seating projects, including design, site assessments, and environmental considerations.
· Project Analysis: Interpret and analyze job specifications, shop drawings, architectural plans, and blueprints to ensure project alignment.
· RFI Preparation: Develop project Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify specifications before estimating.
· Bid Coordination: Collaborate with the estimating department to prepare and review project bids and Requests for Quotes (RFQs).
· Deliverable Management: Coordinate and direct all project management deliverables, ensuring timely assignment and execution.
· Project Planning: Create comprehensive project plans outlining scope, goals, tasks, resources, schedules, costs, and contingencies.
· Quality Supervision: Oversee subcontractors and consultants to ensure adherence to WCI’s quality standards and budget constraints.
· Status Reporting: Provide regular verbal and written project status updates to team members, management, customers, and Independent Rep Groups.
· Documentation Updates: Maintain and update schedules, quotes, forecasts, and budgets for custom seating projects
· Customer Service Enhancement: Identify opportunities for improving customer service, estimating, quoting, and order entry processes.
ABOUT YOU
· Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
· Experience: 7+ years of project management experience in the Furniture, Architecture, Interior Design, or Millwork industries.
· Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
· Technical Proficiency: Ability to read CAD floor plans and architectural plans to determine project scope; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Teams; experience with Smartsheet or Gantt project management software.
· Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
· Customer Focus: Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding results.
· Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented and accurate, especially under pressure.
