As a Data Scientist with a strong Python backend development background (m/f/d) at RoomPriceGenie, you will have an exciting and challenging role at a fast-growing B2B SaaS company.

Activities

Are you passionate about building features end-to-end and working with cutting-edge algorithms? At RoomPriceGenie, you’ll:

• Develop production-level code and contribute to our core revenue optimization algorithm.
• Collaborate with a team of data-loving nerds who enjoy tackling complex challenges.
• Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with Python and Django.
• Shape our architecture to support scaling users, features, and data.
• Partner closely with Product and Design, owning features from conception to deployment.
• Build a strong engineering culture while driving innovation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with Python.
• Strong knowledge of optimization algorithms and libraries like Scipy, Numpy, and Pandas.
• An interest in statistics and a knack for problem-solving with numbers.
• Expertise in software design principles and development tools like Django.
• Excellent communication and a high sense of ownership.

Nice to Have:

• Located in Mannheim, Germany—bonus points for local talent!
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake (and Snowpark), AWS RDS (Postgres), and DocumentDB (MongoDB)
• Hands-on experience with Celery & RabbitMQ for task management
• Hands-on experience with DataDog and SonarQube for monitoring and quality assurance
