About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Python Developer to join our dynamic and innovative team. The primary focus of this role will be designing and implementing heuristic algorithms, architecting data models, and building scalable, high-performance backend systems. As a senior developer, you will also bring best practices to the team, mentor junior developers, and contribute to solution architecture.

This is a fully remote role based in India, with a preference for candidates located in Pune. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in reputed tech companies or in prominent technical roles, coupled with strong academic credentials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Algorithm Development:
• Design and implement advanced heuristic and optimization algorithms to solve complex business problems.
• Work collaboratively with domain experts to translate requirements into efficient computational solutions.
• Backend Development:
• Develop and maintain backend systems with Python, ensuring high scalability and performance.
• Integrate APIs and external services into backend systems.
• Build clean, reusable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Data Model Design:
• Architect and optimize database schemas for complex applications.
• Ensure data models support scalability, flexibility, and performance needs.
• Solution Architecture:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical solutions for challenging problems.
• Establish and implement coding standards, testing strategies, and development methodologies.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in software design, development, and deployment.
• Mentorship & Leadership:
• Mentor junior developers by providing guidance and feedback on code quality and architecture.
• Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the development team.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s (BS/BTech) or Master’s (MS) degree in Computer Science or a related field from a reputed university.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Python.
• Proven experience in developing scalable and high-performance applications.
• Previous work experience at a reputed tech company or in a prominent technical role is a must.
• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in Python programming and frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience in designing and optimizing relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote setup.
