Job Summary

As the Senior Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, driving long-term success and growth within our adhesive business. This position requires a deep understanding of client needs, market dynamics, and our product offerings to identify opportunities for expansion and service enhancements.

You will lead the sales and business development efforts, ensuring the satisfaction of our existing customers while actively pursuing new business opportunities. You will manage key accounts personally, oversee all accounts, and play an integral role in building and monitoring the performance of our sales pipeline. Mentoring and coaching our sales and technical personnel will also be key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders at assigned accounts, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and loyalty.

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve business objectives and maximize revenue growth.

Needs Assessment: Conduct regular needs assessments and business reviews to understand client goals and challenges, positioning our solutions effectively.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure seamless service delivery.

Performance Tracking: Monitor account performance metrics and provide regular updates to management, identifying areas for improvement and growth.

Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead contract negotiations and renewals, ensuring favorable terms for both the client and the organization.

Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and the competitive landscape to provide valuable insights to clients and the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or engineering (preferably chemical).

Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, including at least 5 years in a management role. Experience selling adhesives in the consumer packaging industry is a plus.

Willing and able to travel 50% to 75% weekly.

A passion for selling and a pleasant personality.

Proficient in computer skills, particularly MS Office.

Strong communication skills to effectively engage with both corporate and plant-level personnel.

Self-motivated with the ability to generate sales leads and work collaboratively with teams.

Experience in sales planning, forecasting, and using Salesforce.

Ability to solve technical issues in the field.

Strong negotiation skills.
