Job Description
Sales Strategy Development:
- Design and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the industrial manufacturing sector.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes, and leverage this information to enhance our market positioning.
Technical Sales Support:
- Utilise engineering expertise to provide technical guidance and support during the sales process.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations that address client requirements and technical specifications.
Key Account Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a primary point of contact for their needs.
- Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts while proactively pursuing new business relationships.
Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and performance reports for management review.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends, evaluate performance, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Market Expansion:
- Explore new market opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region, leveraging language skills to build relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Stay informed about industry developments, emerging technologies, and competitive products to strategically position the company.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with product development, marketing, and operations teams to align sales initiatives with business objectives.
- Participate in product launches and promotional activities to maximise market penetration.
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and mentor a sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and high performance.
- Set clear objectives and performance metrics, conducting regular evaluations to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of sales experience in the industrial manufacturing sector, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a technical sales environment.
- Strong engineering background with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Results-driven with a strong customer focus and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and adaptability.
- Fluency in English, Thai, and Mandarin is essential for communicating with a diverse client base across the Asia-Pacific region.
