Company Description
Overseas Food Trading Ltd. is a food importer and trader based in Fort Lee, NJ. The company imports and trades a wide variety of food products from Europe, with a focus on Mediterranean products, sweets, frozen products, dairy produce, and olive oil. Overseas Food Trading prides itself on a long history of integrity and service, and works only with the finest overseas suppliers.
Since 1986, Overseas Food Trading Ltd. has developed two complementary activities:
- Import of finished food products from Europe and Canada. We mainly deal with retail clients (chains, clubs, and gourmet distributors) and food service (distributors) proposing our expertise in: Mediterranean products, Sweets, Frozen products and Dairy produce.
- And the Trading and Import of Mediterranean bulk products being mainly olive oil, capers and olives. We have become one of the main players in the olive oil and capers trading in the USA.

JOB TITLE: Senior Sales Manager – West Coast (this position will preferably be based in California to cover the West Coast)
REPORTS TO: Director Sales
SUPERVISES: N/A
COMPENSATION: Exempt

POSITION OBJECTIVES:
The Foodservice Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales within the foodservice sector, from lead generation to closing deals. This role involves working closely with key partners, ensuring product promotion at national food shows, and developing new business opportunities. The Foodservice Senior Sales Manager will maintain high standards of professionalism in customer interactions, uphold the company’s values, and contribute to growth in the foodservice category.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Helping to develop the foodservice sales within an establish network of customers categorized as follow:
o Foodservice distributors
o Coffee chains
o Hotel chains
o Restaurant chains
o Caterers
o Cruises
Promote products at national food shows, including:
Working closely with the logistic and accounting departments to:
Coordinate the communication between our customers and logistic department to ensure the best customer’ service possible
Administrative follow up to insure the respect of accounting’ company policy
Developing the communication about our foodservice products: Working closely with our marketing department to design promotional tools
Be a creative force in contacting professional press to submit articles on unique products that are part of our offering
his role is not limited to the tasks outlined above; additional responsibilities may be assigned based on department needs.

JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
The following describes the general qualifications and physical, sensory, and mental abilities normally associated with performing the essential functions of this position.
Education and Experience:
College degree is required
Experience in foodservice sales is required
Prior sales experience in the high-end foodservice industry is preferred
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Knowledge of French and an appreciation of French culture are a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas
Ability to perform data analysis and generate reports
Capable of working effectively across departments
Language and Communication Skills:
Effective communication, including writing, speaking, and interpersonal communication
Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
Physical, sensory, and motor demands:
Frequent standing and sitting. Intermittent squatting, bending, twisting, lifting. This position requires excellent visual acuity and auditory sense. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
