Senior Sap Project Manager (Remote)

For our client, an Abu Dhabi based boutique SAP Consultancy, we are looking for a SAP Project Manager at mid-senior level for a permanent position.

The company, a Gold Partner to SAP, has a long list of successful implementations within Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals, Industrial, Utilities, Public Sector, and Services.

As a SAP Project Manager you will provide leadership to cross-functional teams and you are responsible for delivering defined project outputs to time, budget and project quality criteria. You will plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of specific projects. You will submit project plans, project deliverables, prepare status reports and effective project communication plans. You have the qualifications and business acumen to manage medium- to large-scale strategic projects that includes multiple business units and partners. The role involves Account Management, so you would need to possess advanced communication skills, fluency in English, and ideally Arabic.

An ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in information technology and with a Project Management/agile certification or experience on similar level. You will have experience using a project management toolbox like Slack, Asana and Basecamp to manage workflow and be proficient in MS Office Applications including Projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in IT or equivalent
• Good knowledge of SAP project management methodologies
• Proactive attitude in managing stakeholder satisfaction ensure customer success
• Demonstrated ability to attract the attention and respect of senior level leaders and confidently make presentations to large and executive audiences
• Must possess experience managing a number of internal and external stakeholders, so interpersonal skills and abilities will be vital to succeed in this role
• The ability to build strong relationships at every level of the organization, the ability to motivate and influence others to always be at their best.
• PMP/Prince 2 certification or other project management certifications are desirable
• Knowledge in S4/HANA and SAP FI/CO is mandatory.

Work Experience:

• 2-5 years or more proven project management experience at a consulting / system integration company.
• Project management experience with SAP software.
• Demonstrated ability to scope, structure and manage medium- to large scale, medium to high complex projects with agile delivery on time, on budget and within quality criteria
• Demonstrated experience in managing, aligning and working with various levels within a customer organization (project, business, executive) and cross borders.

The Role:

Sales cycle

• Assist the sales team by providing oversight on implementation planning & estimating

Project delivery

• Set-up and lead all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, training, and closure
• Work with Customer Stakeholders, Partners to effectively manage and lead projects to ensure successful completion and significant impact on customer business KPI
• During implementations, manage overall services relationship, steering committee and project office, between customer, partner and SAP to ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within budget and with the highest levels of customer satisfaction through billable consulting
• Manage expectations on the development of solid project plans, with milestones and clear deliverables, handling risks, issues and objections
• Develop your team members in accordance with the project goals

The role is onsite in Abu Dhabi and you must be eligible to work in the UAE.
