Job Description:
As a Senior Snowflake Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions leveraging Snowflake’s features. Your expertise will support enterprise-level applications, ensuring scalability, security, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design data structures and ensure effective use of Snowflake features like data sharing, scalability, and secure data exchange.
- Develop blueprints for data storage, processing, and access strategies within the Snowflake platform.
- Optimize data pipelines and workflows for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Design and implement ETL/ELT processes and optimize query and storage strategies.
- Integrate Snowflake with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), third-party tools, and on-premises systems.
- Apply encryption, role-based access control (RBAC), and data masking to control sensitive data access.
- Automate administrative tasks using Snowflake SQL and scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting.
- Configure Snowflake Virtual Warehouses, including scaling, resizing, and auto-suspend/resume settings.
- Implement and manage Snowflake RBAC and integrate Single Sign-On (SSO) and SCIM for secure identity management.
- Monitor Snowflake environment performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and ensure query optimization.
- Configure alerts and monitor pipelines, resource usage, and cost thresholds.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 8+ years of experience in data modeling, data integration, data warehousing, and data security.
- Hands-on expertise with Snowflake components (e.g., Databases, Procedures, Tasks, Streams) and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in Snowflake RBAC and integration with SSO/SCIM for secure access.
- Experience with data integration tools such as Informatica and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Advanced scripting skills in Python or Shell for automation tasks.
- Strong understanding of Snowflake security features (e.g., encryption, data masking, network policies).
- Technical writing and diagramming proficiency using tools like Visio and Erwin.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, JIRA, and participating in sprint teams.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake code deployments.
- Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly with HHS agencies.
- Experience working with PII/PHI data and standards like HL7.
- Prior experience with Azure services and tools.

Salary Range: $120,000 – $140,000 base salary, depending on experience and expertise.
