Senior Software Developer (Remote)

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Software Engineer with expertise in Laravel and modern

JavaScript frameworks to join the development team for MumlyAPP. In this role, you’ll handle

backend development using Laravel, focusing on robust API integrations and efficient database

management, while also developing dynamic, responsive frontend components using tools like

Vue.js or React. The ideal candidate is well-versed in building scalable, high-quality applications

Key Responsibilities

 Develop and maintain backend functionalities using Laravel, focusing on core features

like Eloquent ORM, Blade templating, and Artisan commands.

 Manage dependencies with Laravel’s service container, facades, and middleware.

 Implement and optimize database structures, ensuring efficient queries with MySQL or

PostgreSQL, and leveraging migrations, seeders, and Eloquent relationships.

 Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate Vue.js or React, handling API calls and

ensuring smooth user interactions.

 Design and integrate RESTful APIs, utilizing JSON and API authentication standards, and

perform API testing using tools like Postman or Insomnia.

 Utilize Git and GitHub/GitLab for version control and code collaboration with the

development team.

 Execute testing protocols with PHPUnit or Laravel’s built-in testing tools to maintain high

code quality.

Qualifications

 3+ years of experience with PHP and Laravel development, specifically with Laravel’s core

features.

 Proficiency in PHP (7.4 and 8.0+) with an understanding of OOP and MVC architecture.

 Hands-on experience with database management in MySQL or PostgreSQL, including query

optimization.

 Basic to intermediate skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with Vue.js or React

for frontend integration.

 Familiar with debugging tools and performance optimization, particularly with large tables

or high-traffic applications.

 APIs and JSON: Proficient in RESTful API development and integration. Basic understanding

of JSON, API authentication, and testing (Postman or Insomnia).

 Experience in version control, collaboration, and Git-based workflows.

Extra Capabilities

 Basic DevOps knowledge: Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu), server setup, and managing

environments.

 Experience with deployment tools like Forge, Envoyer, or Docker.

 Proficient in Composer for PHP and npm/yarn for JavaScript package management.

 Knowledge of debugging tools and techniques for performance optimization in

high-traffic applications.

Past Professional experience :

 Professional expertise with Laravel development or related frameworks for at

least three years.

 Proven capacity to work on web applications’ frontend and backend duties.
