SUMMARY: TRABUS has an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to help with the development of a new software capability for the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Support to Command and Control (CSC2) program that meets the CSC2 Program Management Office’s (PMO) Next Generation Warning, Reporting, and Advanced Hazard Prediction (NEXGEN WRAHP) requirements.

NEXGEN WRAHP capability is intended to develop prototype runtime-agnostic, containerized microservices that provide Warning and Reporting (W&R) and Hazard Prediction (HP) features via an adaptive user interface to evaluate the technical feasibility of CBRN features fielded at the tactical edge and command echelons. The development effort will include architecture, design, code and unit test, integration and test, acceptance, and support for Government testing. The team shall also develop user manuals and other technical documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our Senior Software Engineer will be part of a development team that will:

  • Develop NEXGEN WRAHP system and software requirements.
  • Develop NEXGEN WRAHP system and software design documentation.
  • Develop new NEXGEN WRAHP software features, problem fixes, upgrades, and enhancements to existing capabilities.
  • Develop and execute manual test procedures.
  • Develop automated test software and implementation of automated test frameworks.
  • Develop a NEXGEN WRAHP user manual and other required technical documents.
  • Support Cybersecurity design and certification activities, including development and management of artifacts for the Risk Management Framework.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum total of 7-9 years’ experience in the analysis, development and support of computer software for DOD computer automated systems
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in the development and analysis of real-time software for DoD computer systems using Ada, C, C++, or Java programming languages
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in object-oriented analysis and design
  • Ability to develop/document/implement new processes
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Detail oriented

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance; and due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Qt, GUI/UX design, DevOps experience
  • Software Assurance (safety/cybersecurity)
  • Full web stack including Java/JavaScript/SQL/HTML/CSS
  • Experience with Embedded code

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, or Math from an accredited college or university
  • Master’s degree in any of the preceding disciplines may be substituted for one year of general experience
