About you

As our Senior Software Engineer – React Native, you’ll be at the forefront of our technological innovation, implementing new features and driving system improvements. You’ll play a crucial role in scaling our engineering team while maintaining a balance between rapid iteration and system stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance product features using React Native, React.js and Node.js/TypeScript.
• Lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Architect and implement scalable, secure, and modular applications.
• Contribute to the growth and development of our engineering team.
• Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience in Mobile Application Development using React Native, TypeScript & Expo
• Expert understanding of mobile application user experience
• Experience with APIs and GraphQL, both as a consumer and provider.
• Expertise in converting designs from Photoshop/Sketch/Figma into functional applications.
• Track record of solving complex business problems through innovative technical solutions.
• Experience working in fast-paced, scale-up environments.
• Comfortable with CI/CD practices and methodologies.

Highly Regarded:

• Experience with Node.js for server-side development.
• Familiarity with MongoDB for database management.
• Knowledge of AWS services and cloud deployment.

Other items required:

• Australian working rights for at least 3 years.
• Must be willing to undertake a National Police Check
• Ability to work from our office in Varsity Lakes, QLD.
