About The Role

Develop high-quality, responsive native Android applications using Kotlin programming language. Collaborate with UX/UI design teams to implement material design principles and adhere to Android SDK standards. Integrate with backend services, third-party libraries, and APIs using Retrofit, Volley, or other relevant technologies for seamless data flow. Identify and resolve bugs, issues, and errors in a timely manner, employing tools like Android Studio and debugging techniques. Work with cross-functional teams (product managers, designers, QA) for integrated development using collaborative tools such as Git. Create and maintain technical documentation for Android applications, ensuring comprehensive coverage of architecture, design patterns, and implementation details. Share knowledge and expertise through training sessions and documentation, covering topics such as dependency injection (Dagger/Hilt) and testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso). Telecommuting permissible from any location within US.

Salary Range: $206,315 – $211,315

Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin;
• Android SDK and Material Design;
• API Integration (Retrofit, Volley);
• Debugging and Profiling Tools (Android Studio);
• Version Control (Git) for managing code changes, collaborating with team members, and tracking project history;
• Knowledge of Asynchronous Programming (Kotlin Coroutines, RxJava) for handling tasks such as network requests, database operations, and long-running tasks without blocking in Android development; and
• Testing Frameworks (JUnit, Espresso) for writing UI tests

Who You Are

Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in Information Technology or in the job offered or related role.
