Job Description – Senior Software Engineer

HCM TradeSeal is a technology specializing in working with construction companies to integrate their payroll to produce Certified Payroll and Union Reports. HCM TradeSeal helps construction employers mitigate risk and save money on their payroll, costing and reporting cycle.

Job Brief

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. A successful candidate will work on a range of projects, from designing and developing new software to maintaining and improving existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Work on software development projects using a range of programming languages and tools.
• Collaborate with other developers and team members to design and implement software solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

At minimum, the a candidate for this position will possess the following:

• 5 years of Software Development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field or a certificate of completion from a computer software trade school or comparative professional experience
• Must possess proficiency in our current tech stack (MEVN): MongoDB, Express.js, Vue.js, Node.js
• Must possess proficiency in: Vue.js, Node.js, JavaScript, Typescript, NoSQL
• Must possesses experience using: Git, RESTful APIs, JSON, Excel, CSV
• Willing to work directly with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, time management and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Have the ability to be receptive to constructive feedback from the team

Preferred

• 1 year of experience in the Construction Payroll or Payroll industry
• Experience using: Cloud Technologies (AWS, GCP or Azure), Containerization, developing test frameworks

Salary and Benefits

Current salary range for this position is $110,000 – $120,000 annually; full time.
