Senior Software Engineer (Remote)

Node is a venture-backed startup on a mission to democratize the creator economy. Over the years, our platform empowered thousands of brands and content creators to build better relationships at scale.

Through our platform, we allow consumer brands to outsource custom photo and video production by connecting them with content-creators and influencers. Our platform has supported over 2000 brands across North-America.

We’re seeking a passionate Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of our core product and future initiatives. You’ll play a crucial role in shaping our technology strategy and delivering exceptional experiences for brands and creators alike.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize the backend infrastructure to support the core product.
• Collaborate with the founding team to define and achieve long-term goals
• Work alongside the engineering team to build robust, serverless solutions on AWS, integrating emerging technologies to enhance our SaaS offerings.
• Drive execution, set clear goals, and translate business requirements into actionable tasks.
• Contribute to product roadmaps and inspire the team with your technical vision.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years experience in building web applications and backend development
• Strong full-stack development skills, especially with React/React Native and Node.js
• Expertise in both relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, DynamoDB, Amazon Aurora)
• Experience with AWS services (Cognito, CloudFormation, AppSync, S3, Amplify, CloudWatch, SNS)
• Proficiency in serverless architectures, particularly AWS Lambda with API Gateway
• Experience in writing quality code with techniques such as unit testing, mocking, automation, integration testing, and code coverage
• Solid understanding of building scalable web applications using WebAPI, RESTful API design
• You have a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or something related. Or you dropped out and/or have some outstanding experiences that deserve consideration!
• Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident.

Bonus Skills (not required)

• Proficiency with Angular, TypeScript and/or Python
• Experience with other cloud platforms or DevOps practices
