The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Praos Health, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining our mobile applications, which are essential for delivering seamless and impactful experiences to healthcare professionals and staffing clients. Your work will be seen by thousands of users globally and will contribute to transforming the healthcare staffing industry.

This role focuses on architecting, developing, and scaling our mobile platforms using React Native and related technologies. While primarily mobile-focused, you’ll collaborate across the full stack to ensure an integrated and robust system. Praos is looking for a talented full-stack developer who has a plethora of experience developing mobile systems but isn’t afraid of stepping into the backend when the time arises.

Role Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications using React Native, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Own the mobile architecture and development, potentially leading a small team of engineers to ensure scalability, modularity, and long-term maintainability
• Implement new mobile features to enhance the user experience and meet client needs.
• Collaborate with the product and design teams to deliver intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
• Optimize mobile applications for performance, usability, and cross-platform compatibility (iOS and Android).
• Build and maintain robust automated testing suites for mobile applications.
• Contribute to backend development as needed to support mobile functionality.
• Support and mentor peers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture.

Experience and Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on mobile application development.
• Expertise in React Native and TypeScript.
• Experience deploying and maintaining apps in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Familiarity with backend technologies such as Node.js, RESTful APIs, and AWS services.
• Bonus Skills: Material UI, React, SCRUM practices, and MongoDB experience.
• Previous experience in the healthcare or recruitment technology sector is a bonus.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and effectively translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong team player with a collaborative approach to problem-solving and knowledge sharing.

Location

This is a fully remote position with occasional in-person meet-ups (2-4 times a year), with expenses covered by Praos Health.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
