Job Description

At Visibly, Senior Software Engineers architect, prototype, build and test new features and functionality for our online vision tests and vision care platform. You will lead the implementation of our new data first and AI enabled vision care platform. You will be expected to meet stringent code, source control, and documentation standards as required by health care industry law. Also, you’ll contribute to high-level strategic decisions along side the product and executive teams.

What You’ll Need

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering
• MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong ownership and results-driven mentality
• SaMD start-up/entrepreneurial experience preferred
• AWS Certification with in-depth knowledge of managing and operating AWS accounts and services (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Route 53, CloudFront, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, etc.)
• In depth knowledge of backend Node.js and Python
• In-depth knowledge frontend HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries (React/Redux, TailwindUI)
• Know how to craft effective unit and integration test suites for JavaScript and React codebases, using Jest or similar
• Experience designing, managing, and “serverless” AWS resources (not EC2) infrastructure using CDK
• Expertise building automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Github Actions or CircleCI

Bonus If You Have It

• Expertise in AWS and GCP
• A keen eye for UI/UX and high visual standards
• AI Proficiency, particularly in generative AI implementations

Salary Range: $125,000.00 – $175,000.00 Annual.
