Senior Software Engineer (Remote)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance our SaaS product, focusing on sophisticated solutions for intricate technical challenges.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow engineers to deliver exceptional features, APIs, and initiatives aimed at scalability.
• Engage in the design and implementation of our Total Loss Service, ensuring robust backend data models, APIs, and new frontend user experiences.
• Work closely with internal teams to gather feedback that drives improvements in third-party vendor integrations.
• Mentor junior developers and uphold best practices within the team while contributing to technical design processes.
• Participate in an agile framework, attending weekly stand-ups and retrospectives to refine project scopes and address challenges proactively.

Required Skills

• Proven expertise in API design and development.
• Strong capabilities in creating optimized queries and schemas for relational databases.
• Deep understanding of scalability issues and the performance implications of server-side coding.
• Experience in building applications using React and Redux or similar frontend frameworks.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails or comparable backend frameworks.
• Familiarity with frontend design patterns and modern web technologies (including ES6, HTML5, and Progressive Web Apps).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• At least 5 years of comprehensive experience in full-stack web development.
