Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager (Remote)

Our client is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager (Indirect) to join their team. This role is a home-based role that offers the opportunity to work on company-wide cost-saving initiatives and manage vendors across the APAC region. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing end-to-end purchasing activities for indirect goods and services, including strategic sourcing, analysis, negotiations, and contract management.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager (Indirect), you will play a pivotal role in executing end-to-end procurement and purchasing activities for indirect goods and services. Your excellent negotiation skills will be crucial in arriving at optimal value with vendors. You will also be responsible for structuring evaluation criteria during sourcing events to ensure a consistent approach when selecting preferred vendors. Your ability to invite, assess, and award/recommend supplier tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals will be key in this role. Furthermore, your expertise in establishing and negotiating contract terms and conditions will be highly valued.

• Collaborate with internal business units to identify needs and objectives
• Recommend suppliers capable of providing goods and services that meet requirements
• Negotiate with vendors to arrive at optimal value
• Structure evaluation criteria during sourcing events
• Invite, assess, and award/recommend supplier tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals
• Establish and negotiate contract terms and conditions
• Maintain supplier relationships
• Track contracts for renewals and expiries in advance to formulate appropriate supplier engagement strategies
• Review and analyse purchase requisitions
• Conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis

What You Bring

The ideal candidate for the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager (Indirect) position brings a wealth of experience in strategic sourcing within high tech industries. With over 5 years of experience in pricing/contract negotiation, you have honed your skills in achieving optimal value from vendor relationships. Your excellent communication skills enable you to effectively collaborate with internal teams as well as negotiate with external suppliers. A certification in Supply Chain/Purchasing would be advantageous but not essential.

• Undergraduate degree
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 5+ years of Strategic Sourcing experience (RFP, RFI, RFQ), preferably in high tech industries
• 5+ years of experience with pricing/contract negotiation
• SCMP or other Supply Chain/Purchasing certification preferred
• Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
