Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Strategy Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead the strategy development phase for our clients, particularly in the educational technology sector, and manage multiple market entry projects simultaneously. This role is crucial in shaping the success of our clients’ expansion into the Indian education market.

Key  Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Founders and our clients with focus towards business planning, building systems & processes strategies 
  • Lead the strategy development process for international EdTech companies entering the Indian market
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis in the Indian education sector
  • Develop go-to-market strategies tailored to the unique needs of each client and the Indian market landscape
  • Ensure/support adherence to project charters and economics by managing project timelines, deliverables, and expenses.
  • Develop and implement operational processes and policies that optimize the delivery of services and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Build and monitor operating plans and long-range financial planning models for market entry initiatives
  • Identify key stakeholders and decision-makers in the Indian education ecosystem
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure seamless strategy implementation
  • Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs
  • Present strategic recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Identify/support in mining existing clients for additional business opportunities
  • Stay updated on trends and developments in the Indian education and EdTech sectors
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting knowledge sharing, innovation and contribute to the overall growth of the strategy consulting practice

Skills and qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Strategy, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in strategy consulting, with a focus on market entry strategies
  • Proven track record in the education or EdTech sector, preferably with experience in the Indian market
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills in English (knowledge of Indian languages is a plus)
  • Proficiency in strategy frameworks, market research methodologies, and financial modelling
  • Experience with CRM systems and strategy visualisation tools
  • Preferred knowledge about the start-up ecosystem
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing client need

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with international clients and cross-cultural teams
  • Knowledge of the higher education landscape in India and globally
  • Familiarity with EdTech platforms, especially those focused on teacher training or professional development
  • Experience in developing pricing strategies for the Indian market
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks in the Indian education sector
