Role Snap Shot

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Survey Draftsperson to join our Urban Land Surveying team.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing a range of high-quality plans to meet client needs, adhering to stringent QA standards, and assisting our team of multiple Licensed Surveyors in achieving productivity goals. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative improvements in plan presentation and production.

How You Will Contribute 

• Highly autonomous plan preparation skills and excellent CAD skills
• Expertise in drafting plans for multi-lot greenfield subdivisions, complex multi-level building subdivisions following Taylors’ conventions and QA requirements.
• Expertise in drafting specialised plans for the “Big Build” projects for rail and roads and other specialised cadastral plans for the Surveyor General Victoria
• Expertise in all other survey drafting activities for cadastral plans and associated legislative survey documentation
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Peer-checking plans for accuracy and meeting the brief.
• Coaching junior employees and conducting AutoCAD inductions for new drafting staff.
• Liaising with clients, engineers, and other external parties as required.

• 10 years + of technical survey drafting experience in a senior role
• Advanced Diploma in Spatial Information (Surveying & Mapping) or equivalent
• Advanced AutoCAD skills
• Thorough technical knowledge of survey drafting
• Sound mathematical and data interpretation skills
• Ability to design and implement advanced CAD programming and LISP functions
• Intermediate to advanced MicroStation skills.
