We are seeking a highly experienced Senior System Administrator to join our IT team. You will play a pivotal role in managing, maintaining, and optimizing our critical IT infrastructure to ensure smooth business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain on-premises and/or cloud-based servers, operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.), and network devices.
- Perform system administration tasks including user account management, security patching, system backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems proactively.
- Automate routine system administration tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) for increased efficiency (Preferred).
- Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard systems and data from cyber threats.
- Provide technical support to internal users and resolve their IT-related issues efficiently.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in operating systems, system administration tools, and security practices.
- Collaborate effectively with other IT professionals and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of demonstrably successful experience as a System Administrator or a related role.
- Strong understanding of system administration principles and best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
- Experience with network administration concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the evolving IT landscape.
