  As part of the Specialist Services team, this role works closely with the Sales and Presales teams to convert customer needs into functional solutions. During the “design & build” stages, you will work closely with customer technical teams and our Project Managers to bring solutions to life, transitioning projects to Operational Services and/or customer support teams.

  About the role

  As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will bring your technical expertise across Systems to deliver robust infrastructure solutions for our customers.

  This role is customer facing and you will work on detailed solution design, build and implementation, using some of the latest technologies. You will be expected to work across multiple projects and your ability to think fast, learn and adapt will see you succeed in this cutting edge role.

  Responsibilities:
  

  • Provide technical content for client proposals.
  • Produce detailed design documentation, based on customer requirements in collaboration with project teams.
  • Provide expertise and recommendations to improve existing designs
  • Implement infrastructure, systems and application solutions and services for our customers.
  • Provide technical expertise, working across a multitude of infrastructure, security, systems and application products to plan, install, configure and support customer environments.
  • Deploy complex solutions in line with quality, scope and time constraints.
  • Prepare relevant handover documentation needed for transition into ongoing support.
  • Engage with customers and become a trusted advisor

  
  Skills & experience

  The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, solution-oriented, collaborative and approachable with a focus on best practice:
  

  • Experience working as an Infrastructure Engineer responsible for design and implementation in Medium to Large environments
  • Previous experience working for an MSP/IT Solutions Provider highly desirable
  • Strong technical skills across:
    • Windows Servers
    • Active Directory
    • VMWare 
    • Hardware (HPE, Dell)
    • Microsoft 365
    • PowerShell scripting
    • Azure
    • Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, XenServer (a plus)
  • Proven ability to innovate, adapt and work under pressure in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders and firm deadlines.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with proven document/report writing ability
  • Willingness to learn and grow
  • Relevant Industry certifications such as MCSE, VCP, Citrix, Azure, etc.
