Position Summary:

• A core responsibility of this position is to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
• Provide clients with strategic financial advice and insights to help them achieve their business goals and improve financial performance.
• Oversee the delivery of accounting, tax, and advisory services to clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Lead and mentor a team of accountants and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Conduct regular client meetings, review financial statements, and present findings and recommendations.
• Identify opportunities for expanding services to existing clients and attracting new clients, contributing to the firm’s growth.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and industry trends to provide informed advice and services to clients.
• Ensure all client deliverables meet the firm’s quality standards and comply with applicable regulations.
• Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Australian public practice accounting, with a focus on client management and advisory services.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.
• Proven ability to manage and develop client relationships.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software Xero.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.

Qualifications:

Candidates need to have a degree in Accountancy or Commerce. CA or CPA is not compulsory. Candidates must reside in Australia and have permanent work rights with no restrictions.
