Overview:
The primary responsibilities of the Senior Technical Product Manager, Data & Analytics are developing and supporting NGI’s data & analytics products. This includes the development of new technical products, as well as maintaining and enhancing existing product offerings. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams – including technology, design, analytics, and business stakeholders.

Organizational Relationships:
This role reports to the Director of Analytics, and works directly with technology, analytics, leadership, and sales teams.

Primary Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be part of our growing team by performing the functions and duties listed below:
    Develop new revenue-supported tools and analytics products related to energy pricing, fundamentals, and market insights
    Dive deep into all data sources and current analyses to determine best practices for process improvement, business continuity, and productization
    Support product enhancement processes, working cross-functionally to drive project management, market engagement, technical development, and sales enablement
    Gather, consolidate, and validate data from internal, 3rd party, and public data sources
    Work with our technology teams to ensure well documented and reliable movement of data from source to product
    Maintain data sources to feed analytics and products, ensuring data quality control processes are performed
    Integrate advanced analytics techniques, such as machine learning, AI, and optimization into analytics solutions
    Communicate on a technical level with technology and analytics teams and deliver high-level understanding to leadership, sales, and marketing teams
    Serve as a subject matter expert for NGI’s technical products, able to present to clients/prospects and engage the broader market
    Create and maintain documentation related to products and processes

Requirements:
    Bachelor’s degree or above in economics, computer science, mathematics, technology or other quantitative discipline
    7+ years of experience building and maintaining technical data & analytics solutions
    Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
    Experience supporting data lifecycles, from ETL to advanced analytics and end-user delivery with expertise in at least one stage
    Competency with the languages and tools used in modern data & analytics solutions (SQL, Python, Power BI, Excel, or similar)
    Motivation to change and improve existing processes, strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively as a member of a team, independently or as the coach
    Ability and willingness to adapt to new challenges and a dynamic work environment with shifting priorities
    Curious mind, driven by accuracy, and a passion for lifelong learning

Preferred Skills & Experience:
    5+ years of experience in energy data & analytics with deep knowledge of market fundamentals and relevant data sources
    Familiarity with energy trading markets and their participants
    Proficiency with object-oriented programming and cloud based computing services
    Experience with big data and scaling technical products to meet the needs of a growing organization
    Experience in applying advanced analytics techniques, such as machine learning, optimization, and forecasting, to solve real-world problems
