Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UI Developer with a strong focus on HTML and CSS to join our team. As a Senior UI Developer, you will be responsible for translating design mockups into pixel-perfect, responsive, and accessible web interfaces. You will work closely with designers and developers to ensure that the visual elements of the product are delivered with high-quality code and align with the design specifications. This role requires deep expertise in front-end development, especially HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• HTML/CSS Development: Translate design mockups into high-quality HTML and CSS code. Ensure that the web interfaces are responsive, accessible, and optimized for various devices and browsers.

• Component and Layout Creation: Build reusable UI components and layouts using semantic HTML and modern CSS techniques (e.g., Flexbox, CSS Grid). Ensure these components can be used across different pages and applications.

• Responsive Design: Ensure the website’s responsiveness across various devices (mobile, tablet, desktop) by using responsive design techniques such as media queries and fluid grid systems.

• Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensure that the user interface works smoothly across different browsers, and address browser-specific quirks and inconsistencies.

• Collaboration with Design Teams: Work closely with UI/UX designers to ensure that the designs are translated accurately into code. Provide feedback on design feasibility and offer suggestions for improving user interfaces.

• Code Quality and Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured HTML and CSS code following industry best practices. Use tools like Prettier, ESLint, or Stylelint to ensure code consistency.

• Performance Optimization: Optimize UI elements for performance by reducing file sizes, minimizing loading times, and using modern CSS techniques to enhance speed.

• Accessibility: Implement accessibility best practices (WCAG compliance) to ensure web interfaces are usable by all users, including those with disabilities. Use appropriate HTML elements and ARIA attributes to enhance accessibility.

• Version Control and Collaboration: Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code changes, collaborate with team members, and handle merge requests.

• Testing and Debugging: Perform thorough testing of the user interface across various devices and browsers. Debug and resolve front-end issues quickly and efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Extensive HTML/CSS Expertise: 5+ years of professional experience as a front-end/UI developer with a strong focus on HTML5 and CSS3. Expertise in building accessible, responsive, and visually appealing web pages.

• CSS Frameworks and Preprocessors: Proficiency in modern CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Foundation) and preprocessors like SASS or LESS. Ability to create custom styles when necessary while leveraging frameworks for efficiency.

• Responsive and Adaptive Design: Strong understanding of responsive design principles, including mobile-first design. Experience using media queries, Flexbox, and CSS Grid to create fluid and adaptable layouts.

• Cross-Browser Compatibility: Experience with ensuring cross-browser compatibility across modern and legacy browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.).

• Proficiency with Version Control: Strong experience with Git and Git workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews) to manage front-end code.

• Accessibility Standards: Solid understanding of accessibility guidelines and how to implement accessible HTML and CSS elements (e.g., WCAG 2.0, ARIA roles).

• Collaboration Skills: Ability to collaborate closely with designers and developers to ensure high-quality UI implementation. Effective communication skills for discussing technical solutions and design feedback.

• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure that designs are implemented accurately, maintaining pixel-perfect layouts and visual consistency.

Preferred Qualifications:

• JavaScript Experience: Basic knowledge of JavaScript and familiarity with integrating JavaScript into HTML/CSS code. While this role is primarily focused on HTML/CSS, understanding how JavaScript interacts with the UI is a plus.

• Experience with UI/UX Design Tools: Familiarity with tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design applications. Experience working with design-to-code workflows.

• Experience in the Automotive or Related Industries: Previous experience in automotive or related industries is a plus but not required.
