As a Senior UI Engineer at IndyKite, you will work closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to create stunning, high-performance user interfaces. Your primary focus will be on implementing and optimizing web and mobile interfaces that are both visually appealing and highly functional.

You will be responsible for translating UI/UX designs into code, ensuring responsiveness, and maintaining a high standard of design integrity across platforms. You’ll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and bring your ideas to life in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the Development Lifecycle: Take ownership of the software development process, from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring seamless delivery
• Apply Engineering Best Practices: Utilize your deep understanding of software engineering principles (e.g., SOLID, DRY, KISS, YAGNI) to build clean, maintainable, and scalable solutions
• Solve Problems Efficiently: Use strong debugging techniques to identify issues quickly, isolate root causes, and resolve them while balancing priorities and deadlines
• Full Stack Expertise: Contribute to both frontend and backend development. Collaborate on API design and work across the tech stack to enhance the overall platform architecture
• Agile and Collaborative Work: Work within agile methodologies, effectively manage your time and priorities, and communicate transparently with the team about capacity and progress
• Focus on Quality: Write high-quality, testable code and contribute to automated testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end) to ensure a robust and reliable product
• Constructive Code Reviews: Provide thoughtful, actionable feedback during peer code reviews to maintain high coding standards and encourage continuous improvement
• Collaborate Effectively: Foster a positive, team-oriented culture by engaging in pair programming, considering developer experience (DX) in your contributions, and collaborating closely with colleagues
• Stay Current: Continuously learn and stay updated on the latest technologies, trends, and best practices, particularly in frontend development, to anticipate challenges and leverage new opportunities

Skills & Qualifications

• Skilled in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3
• Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular
• Familiarity with Design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
• Experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub)
• A keen eye for detail, with a focus on delivering pixel-perfect designs
• Your role requires what all startups require – grit, enthusiasm and the ability to lean in and take ownership

Education & Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Frontend Engineering, with a demonstrable expertise in designing and building responsive, user-friendly web applications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a Related Field
