SENIOR UI/UX WEB DESIGNER

TYPE: FULL TIME, INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR
- 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing responsive and user-centered design work.
- Proficient in industry-standard design tools such as Figma (preferred), Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first design.
- Ability to conduct user research, A/B testing, and usability testing to inform and refine design decisions.
- Strong working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3, with the ability to create and deliver high-fidelity mockups and base code to developers.
- Experience with front-end development principles, including working knowledge of the Bootstrap CSS framework and web performance optimization.
- Proficient in prototyping and interaction design to create interactive, high-fidelity prototypes for stakeholder review.
- Strong visual design skills, including a keen eye for typography, color theory, layout, and spacing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and explain design decisions clearly to developers, product managers, and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with WCAG 2+ accessibility standards, with a focus on creating inclusive and accessible designs.
- Experience with design systems and creating reusable UI components.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a user-centered approach to design and the ability to balance user needs with business goals.
- Familiar with Agile methodologies and the ability to work iteratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to write clear and concise documentation.
Note: an online test via TestDome will be required prior to an interview.
** Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a test. They are expected to take 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on experience.
Work from Home Requirements (Must have before the start date)
- Internet Connection : Min of 25mbps internet connection speed AND a backup internet connection (before start date)
- Computer/Laptop: The contractor must have a working computer from home with Dual Monitors
- Noise Cancelling Headset (Plantronics)
- Dedicated Home Office – Contractors are required to have a dedicated home office free from noise and distractions.
- Must be comfortable working with a Monitoring Software (for payroll and timekeeping purposes only)
- Webcam – Contractors must have a working webcam
