Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize custom WordPress websites with a focus on pixel-perfect front-end development and responsive design.
• Create custom themes, plugins, and features, ensuring accurate visual and functional implementations from designs.
• Optimize website performance for page speed and SEO, ensuring fast load times and a smooth user experience.
• Apply best practices for securing WordPress sites, implementing security measures to protect against vulnerabilities, and ensuring regular updates to plugins, themes, and the WordPress core.
• Collaborate with designers, content creators, and marketing teams to ensure projects meet client specifications and deadlines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to websites, hosting, plugins, and performance.
• Stay current with WordPress updates, trends, and best practices for performance and security.
• Implement third-party integrations and APIs as needed.
• Ensure SEO best practices are embedded into the website structure, design, and content.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a WordPress Developer (3+ years) with a focus on custom theme development and a strong emphasis on front-end development (pixel-perfect coding); experience in plugin development; and experience in API integrations.
• Proven experience managing WordPress websites hosted on WPEngine, including setting up new WordPress sites within the WPEngine hosting environment.
• Expertise in responsive development, ensuring sites are fully optimized across all devices.
• Strong understanding of PHP, MYSQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (Including frameworks such as jQuery/React)
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or TailwindCSS
• Demonstrated experience in optimizing WordPress sites for performance, page speed, and SEO.
• Knowledge of security best practices for WordPress sites, ensuring they are protected from common vulnerabilities.
• Experience using JIRA for project tracking and task management.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, polished work.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git / Bitbucket.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with remote teams.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs or GraphQL for WordPress.
• Familiarity with design tools like Figma

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday 9am-6pm PH Time

Work Location:

• Homebased ; Should have a strong internet connection (minimum of 20 MBPS); Equipment is provided
