We are on the hunt for a driven and meticulous individual to join our team as an SEO Assistant. You will work alongside our SEO specialists to execute various search engine optimization strategies. Your main tasks will involve conducting keyword research, optimizing content, managing link-building outreach, and tracking performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct data analytics and SEO analysis, leveraging data to inform strategies and find growth opportunities
• Conduct keyword research using tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, or Ahrefs to identify valuable keywords
• Optimize website content for target keywords, including meta tags, headings, and body copy
• Manage site search functions and optimize product catalog taxonomy/organization
• Utilize Shopify CMS, apps, and Liquid coding to maintain and enhance website functionality and aesthetics
• Support the SEO team in acquiring high-quality backlinks and monitoring website performance using Google Analytics
• Utilize tools like Klaviyo to analyze customer behavior and improve engagement strategies
• Pull reports, analyze, and implement necessary content changes to provide feedback to teams on data insights and optimization opportunities
• Assist in creating SEO reports, staying updated on industry trends, and contributing new ideas for improvement

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of e-commerce experience, preferably with Shopify+, Klaviyo, and Google Merchant Center (or similar)
• Proficient in using SEO tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Ahrefs
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization and SEO analysis
• High-quality writing skills and an eye for design (Canva/design experience is an asset)
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and a knack for strategy and driving traffic
• Experience in Excel and data analysis/manipulation
• Passionate about learning new technologies and trends
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment
• Creative, collaborative, and self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge in the Barber/Beauty industry considered an asset

PC and Internet Requirements:

• A personally-owned PC with at least an i5 processor (or equivalent)
• Minimum 20 Mbps upload and download speed
