At iTeleCenter, were looking for an experienced Link Builder to join our SEO team. We made significant progress with our content and SEO efforts, and now were ready to take things to the next level by increasing our authoritative backlinks.

In this role, you’ll develop and lead our link-building strategy while collaborating with our SEO Managers and Content Creators to attract high-quality backlinks that drive growth.

SEO Backlink Building Specialist: Roles and Responsibilities

1. Develop and Implement Link-Building Strategy

• Create and execute a comprehensive link-building strategy aligned with SEO goals.
• Continuously optimize the strategy to increase the number of high-quality backlinks.

2. Identify Potential Backlink Opportunities

• Research and identify relevant websites, blogs, forums, and influencers for backlink opportunities.
• Evaluate the authority and relevance of potential backlink sources.

3. Conduct Outreach for Link Building

• Reach out to website owners, bloggers, and influencers via email, social media, and other platforms to request backlinks.
• Build and maintain relationships with potential backlink partners.
• Customize outreach messages to improve chances of securing backlinks.

4. Collaborate with Content and SEO Teams

• Work closely with content creators to ensure that content is optimized for backlink opportunities.
• Provide suggestions on content that can attract more backlinks, such as guest posts, infographics, or data-driven content.
• Offer recommendations for improving on-page SEO to make pages more linkable.

5. Negotiate and Secure Backlink Agreements

• Negotiate terms for backlink placement with website owners.
• Ensure that backlinks are acquired in a natural and ethical manner to comply with search engine guidelines.

6. Track and Monitor Backlink Performance

• Regularly review and monitor the backlink profile to ensure link quality and relevance.
• Use SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, Moz, SEMrush) to track backlinks, evaluate their impact, and identify toxic links.
• Provide reports on backlink performance, including metrics like domain authority, referral traffic, and rankings.

7. Stay Updated on SEO Best Practices and Industry Trends

• Keep abreast of the latest developments in SEO and link-building practices.
• Adapt strategies to align with updates in search engine algorithms (e.g., Googles core updates) and industry shifts.

8. Achieve Monthly Backlink-Building Targets

• Set and meet or exceed monthly goals for acquiring backlinks.
• Track outreach efforts and success rates to refine future strategies

9. Ensure Compliance with SEO Guidelines

• Ensure that all backlinks are secured following ethical SEO practices, avoiding tactics that could lead to penalties.
• Regularly audit the backlink profile to identify and disavow harmful links.

This comprehensive set of responsibilities ensures a strategic, creative, and effective approach to backlink building for SEO success.

Link Builder Requirements

• Experience working as a Link Builder or as an SEO professional with link-building experience
• Broad knowledge of SEO, Content Marketing, and their best practices
• Extensive experience reaching out to potential backlink donors
• Ability to negotiate terms and conditions to reach a backlink agreement
• Strategic mindset that allows you to build and own an effective link-building strategy
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
• Highly structured and organised in your working
• Creative mindset that allows for out-of-the-box thinking to attract backlinks in creative ways
