Your Responsibilities:
- Backend Development: Design, develop, and implement custom solutions and extensions in the backend of ServiceNow, particularly related to the request and request fulfillment process, as well as asset management.
- Process Customizations: Analyze existing processes related to requests and request fulfillment, identify areas for improvement, and implement customizations to enhance process efficiency and quality.
- Integration of Data and Systems: Integrate external data sources and systems into ServiceNow to enable seamless data transfer and processing related to requests and assets.
- Workflow Automation: Develop automation and workflow solutions to reduce manual tasks in the request and request fulfillment process and shorten turnaround times.
- Asset Management: Implement features and mechanisms for managing assets, including inventorying, assignment, tracking, and reporting on the lifecycle of assets.
- Quality Assurance and Testing: Conduct tests and quality assurance measures to ensure that the developed backend solutions are robust, error-free, and meet requirements.
- Documentation and Training: Create technical documentation, guides, and training materials for end users and administrators to utilize the implemented solutions and features.
Your Profile:
- Demonstrable experience in backend development, preferably with a focus on the ServiceNow platform or similar IT service management platforms.
- Expertise in using scripting languages such as JavaScript, as well as experience with ServiceNow-specific scripting languages like GlideScript and Jelly.
- Expertise in using web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and popular frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Knowledge of designing and implementing ServiceNow workflows, business rules, and notifications.
- Experience with catalogue, asset management and configuration management as well as employee center in ServiceNow.
- Ability to analyze requirements and processes and develop customized solutions to meet those requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex technical challenges.
- Team orientation, communication skills, and the ability to effectively interact with other developers, administrators, and end users.
Your Education, Certifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is advantageous. Certifications in ServiceNow “Administration Fundamentals”, “Certified Systems Administrator” and “Implementation Specialist” are mandatory.
- “Certified Application Developer” welcomed
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with ServiceNow configuration and development.
