The Opportunity

We are seeking a Technical Support Technician that ispassionate about technology and sustainability to support our diverse range ofIoT and energy management solutions. This role is pivotal in assisting with thedeployment and ongoing support of Hark’s technology across our client base. Thesuccessful candidate will join our team during a period of significant growth,offering a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that driveenvironmental sustainability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert support for IoT-based energy solutions, witha specific focus on applications in smart buildings, solar energy, andsustainable technologies.
  • Resolve customer issues involving energy management systemsand other IoT applications, ensuring customer satisfaction through proactiveengagement and technical prowess.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to diagnose and swiftlyresolve system issues.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, such astroubleshooting guides and FAQs, to support both internal teams and customers.
  • Communicate directly with customers via phone, email, andticketing systems to guide them through technical issues, leveraging remotesupport tools as necessary.


Job Brief

As a Technical Support Technician at Hark Systems, you willbe an integral part of our team, offering technical assistance on ourinnovative software and hardware solutions to our customers. Your role willspan a variety of tasks, including network issue resolution, hardwarecommissioning, software commissioning and direct support through remote tools.This position requires a blend of technical expertise, a passion forsustainability, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly andeffectively.


Requirements

  • Experience in a technical support role with a strongemphasis on IoT technologies and energy management systems, such as Meteringapplications, Solar PV Systems, BMS Systems or other related systems andtechnologies.
  • Good understanding of IoT devices, network principals, andtechnical products used in energy and building management systems.
  • Knowledgeable in operating systems, with a preference forcandidates familiar with system integration and configuration in smart energyenvironments.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability todeliver clear and effective technical guidance.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as MQTT,BACnet, and Modbus is preferred.
  • Programming skills in languages relevant to systemintegration and scripting, such as Bash, PowerShell and Python or JS, areadvantageous.
