Shopify Developer (Remote)

Shopify Developer with 1-3 years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing, optimizing, and maintaining Shopify-based e-commerce solutions. Whether we pursue a headed or headless Shopify implementation, your expertise will help create seamless and engaging user experiences for our customers.

This position requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking, creativity, and strong programming skills with a focus on modern architectures. You should have the ability to work in an Agile environment where flexibility, teamwork, and quality delivery of business solutions are required. We are a remote-first environment, with occasional required visits to our headquarters in Michigan for team/company events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with design, marketing, and product teams to develop user-centric, responsive Shopify solutions.
• Develop, test, and maintain both headed and headless Shopify implementations using the Liquid template language and Shopify APIs.
• Customize Shopify themes and apps to align with brand and project requirements.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, maintaining system performance and user experience.
• Stay current with the latest Shopify updates, tools, and ecommerce trends.
• Document development processes and provide regular updates on project progress.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience with Shopify development.
• Proficiency in the Shopify Liquid template language and Shopify APIs (Admin API, Storefront API).
• Strong understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery) and frameworks (React or Vue.js is a plus).
• Experience with custom Shopify app development and theme customization.
• Knowledge of headed and headless ecommerce architectures.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git/SVN) and agile development practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Passion for ecommerce and delivering exceptional user experiences.
• Located in eastern or central time zone and able to work during core ET hours Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with Shopify Hydrogen and Oxygen.
• Experience migrating ecommerce platforms to Shopify.
• Experience with eCommerce site hosting and production support.
