Site Reliability Engineer (Remote)

Applica Corp. is looking for an experienced SRE.

 Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure
• ECS (desirable)
• Elastic beanstalk (highly desirable)
• EKS (desirable)
• Understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure with Terraform (optional)
• Solid foundation of networking and Linux administration
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD workflows with tools like Gitlab, Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.
• Experience with CI/CD and deploying applications on AWS
• Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and automate our AWS infrastructure and related systems.
• Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS.
• Work collaboratively with the Product Development team to define infrastructure and deployment requirements.
• Provision, configuring, and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure, should ideally be able to be defined as IaC
• Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools
• Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, reports, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems
• Responsible for jumping in during any downtime for the site.
• Proactively manage and mitigate the AWS infrastructure to ensure the site is ready for growth during busy times.
• Strong bias for action and ownership (Significant)
• Strong English communication skills.
