Are you an experienced Project Management professional with a passion for developing talent? Are you excited about the opportunity to work with an innovative Apprenticeships provider, helping to shape the future careers of aspiring project managers?

At KnowledgeBrief, we have been at the forefront of Leadership and Management training for over 15 years, enhancing learning experiences through our pioneering KBPro platform. In 2023, we expanded our apprenticeship offerings, and due to our continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced apprenticeship assessor to join our team as a Skills Coach for our Level 4 Project Management Apprenticeship.

The Level 4 Project Management course is designed to provide professionals with the fundamental skills needed to manage projects successfully. This role is central to our mission of empowering individuals to excel in their careers, helping learners develop the competencies required to thrive in diverse and challenging environments.

Role Overview:

As a Skills Coach, you will be instrumental in guiding a diverse group of learners through the Level 4 Project Management Apprenticeship standard, focusing on personalised development. This role requires a solid blend of project management expertise, dedication, and the ability to integrate on-the-job and off-the-job learning into the learners’ development journeys. You will have the chance to make a significant impact on our ambitious and forward-thinking goals.

This role is remote, however the candidate must live within a reasonable commute of London (2 – 3 hours Max) for occasional company away days and operational meetings.

Why Work With Us:

At KnowledgeBrief, we are committed to fostering the joy of learning, offering access to cutting-edge research and theory through our bespoke e-learning platform. We prioritise staff well-being and provide a range of benefits and initiatives, including:

  • Investment in staff CPD, with dedicated study days each month for your personal development
  • Flexible working arrangements to support work/life balance
  • 5.6 weeks of annual leave plus bank holidays, with a 2-week closure over Christmas and New Year
  • Opportunities to engage in various growth projects beyond your day-to-day responsibilities
  • Charity days and company away days
  • Ongoing well-being initiatives

Skills Coach – Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored coaching, support, and motivation to learners on the Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship, helping them stay engaged and progress in their development.
  • Inspire and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds to embrace challenges as growth opportunities, fostering a passion for learning and professional development.
  • Develop individualised learning plans that balance on-the-job and off-the-job learning, in line with apprenticeship standards.
  • Conduct monthly one-on-one coaching sessions, offering personalised feedback and progress tracking.
  • Deliver engaging workshops and webinars to enhance project management skills through interactive and collaborative learning.
  • Identify and support learners at risk of disengagement, offering tailored interventions to re-engage them.
  • Monitor learner progress using data analytics and provide timely feedback to ensure they stay on track for their End Point Assessment (EPA).
  • Conduct tripartite reviews every 6-8 weeks with learners and line managers, setting SMART goals to align personal and programme development.
  • Assist learners in preparing for their EPA by building confidence and assessment skills through professional discussions and Q&As.
  • Record all learner interactions promptly and ensure compliance with apprenticeship standards and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with team members to continuously improve coaching practices and ensure the relevance of learning materials.

Skills Coach – Experience & Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and learning and development, with experience in the apprenticeship sector. We are looking for someone who possesses some or all of the following:

  • Level 4 or higher Project Management Qualification (ideal)
  • Relevant experience in managing and coaching project managers (ideal)
  • Experience in the apprenticeship sector (highly desirable)
  • Experience with the delivery of the Level 4 Project Management apprenticeship (highly desirable)
  • Recognised teaching qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (desirable but not essential)
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of project management theories and their practical application

If this opportunity excites you, we would love to hear from you! Please apply directly with your CV and a cover note highlighting your relevant experience and enthusiasm for the role.

I look forward to hearing from you!
