Job description – IoT TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER
Flowtec are seeking an experienced IoT Technical Sales Manager to join our team for developing AVK Smart Water sales.
The IoT Technical Sales Manager will lead our sales efforts and drive the adoption of smart metering solutions. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong sales acumen to effectively communicate the value of our offerings to prospective clients. This role involves working closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to understand requirements, promote solutions, and achieve sales targets.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of water sector, IoT technologies, market trends, and business drivers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for IoT solutions.
- Identify and qualify leads, prospects, and opportunities in target markets and industries.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders.
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution workshops for clients.
- Collaborate with the product development and engineering teams to improve solutions or define new ones, based on client needs.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and contracts in a timely manner.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with clients.
- Provide technical expertise and support throughout the sales cycle, from lead generation to project delivery.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies in the IoT space.
- Track and report sales performance metrics, forecasts, and pipeline activities.
- Training of sales collegues , and support collegues in promoting IOT sensors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent skills.
- Proven track record of success in technical sales roles, preferably in the IoT or technology industry.
- Strong understanding and operational experience of water industry.
- Strong understanding of IoT technologies, including sensors, connectivity, cloud platforms, and data analytics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
