Job Summary:
FreshFind is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Social Media Management Intern to oversee one of our social media channels. You will be responsible for managing the channel’s content, engaging with our audience, and building a vibrant community. We are seeking a student who possesses excellent communication skills, a passion for fresh and sustainable living, and a knack for fostering meaningful connections online.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor FreshFind’s presence on a specific social media channel (e.g., Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) to foster an engaged community.
- Create and curate engaging content, including posts, stories, and visuals, that align with FreshFind’s mission and resonate with the target audience.
- Develop and implement a social media content calendar to ensure a consistent and timely flow of content.
- Engage with followers and community members by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and friendly manner.
- Proactively seek out and engage with relevant accounts, influencers, and communities to expand FreshFind’s reach and establish partnerships.
- Actively monitor and participate in relevant conversations, hashtags, and trends to increase brand visibility and engagement.
- Identify opportunities for user-generated content (UGC) and encourage community members to contribute content.
- Monitor social media analytics and insights to track community growth, engagement, and sentiment, and provide regular reports to the team.
- Stay up to date with social media trends, best practices, and platform updates, and share insights with the team.
- Collaborate with the content team to ensure content is optimized for the channel and aligned with overall brand messaging.
- Identify and address any potential issues or conflicts within the community, and escalate as necessary.

Requirements:
- Currently enrolled as a Post Secondary program in a relevant field such as marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience managing and growing social media accounts, preferably as a community manager or social media manager.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a friendly and approachable tone.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their features, algorithms, and best practices.
- Passion for fresh and sustainable living and a genuine interest in engaging with and promoting these values within a community.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, taking initiative in community engagement and content creation.
- Knowledge of emerging social media trends, technologies, and platforms.
- Basic knowledge of social media advertising and paid campaigns is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 4 months
Pay: $16.50-$17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
