Lightup Tutoring is dedicated to providing exceptional support to students for GCSE English. Our online interactive learning platform, The Lightup Hub, helps students enhance their confidence and grades through a variety of resources including videos, condensed notes, quizzes, personalised revision plans, and other interactive features. Social media is an important part of our strategy, and as a consequence we have around a 250,000+ person audience.

What you’ll do
As our social media manager, you’ll get the opportunity to drive and maximise our social media platforms with our pre-existing 250,000+ person audience across: Youtube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. You will taking a creative lead on how we can break the mould even more in the outdated industry of education, and how we can strengthen our position as an authority voice in the educational market.
Responsibilities
✏️Content Strategy + Development
- Content Strategy: Develop a YouTube first focused content strategy aligned with the brand’s growth goals. This includes defining content types (e.g., educational, product tutorials, behind-the-scenes) and aligning with broader marketing objectives.
- Content Calendar: Plan content calendars around high-engagement periods and upcoming promotions, balancing consistency with high-quality production.
- Research: Research trending topics, competitors, and audience preferences to create content that resonates with the target demographic, helping boost organic reach.
🌍Audience Engagement + Community building
- Actively engage with viewers through comments, community posts, and responding to questions, creating a loyal and interactive community.
- Build strategies to encourage subscriptions, likes, and shares to grow the audience and foster a community that participates actively.
- Gather audience insights and feedback, identifying engagement patterns and adapting content and engagement tactics based on what resonates most.
📈Performance analysis + Optimisation
- Track Key Metrics: Monitor metrics across platforms like engagement rates, reach, impressions, click-through rates, and conversions. Each platform (e.g., Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) may have unique success metrics, so it’s crucial to track platform-specific KPIs alongside broader social media objectives.
- Optimise Content and Timing: Use insights to determine what types of content perform best and when audiences are most active, adjusting content types, posting schedules, and formats to maximise engagement and reach.
- Continuous Experimentation: Run tests on elements like post captions, hashtags, visuals, and ad campaigns to see what drives the most engagement or conversions. Experiment with new trends and features (e.g., Instagram Reels, LinkedIn Articles) and adjust based on results.
- Reporting and Strategy Adaptation: Provide regular performance reports with actionable insights, identifying growth opportunities and areas needing improvement. Adjust the social strategy based on these insights to continually align with business goals and scaling ambitions.
We are looking for:
Experience:
- 2-3+ years in Social Media Management
- Interest in YouTube/ proven track record of optimising YouTube channels organically
