Software Architect

Join our team as a Software Architect and lead the development and optimization of our software architecture to improve performance and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will manage and refine software standards, align architecture with the product roadmap, and guide the development team through the software lifecycle. You’ll also create high-level design documents and champion best practices in software design. Ideal for an expert in C# .NET and ASP.NET, this position offers the chance to significantly impact our software quality and innovation within the Space Traffic Management domain.

Sybilla Technologies designs builds and operates robotic optical observatories for monitoring objects in space. The company specializes in the complete systems, software for automated data acquisition, analysis, and scheduling of networks of sensors. We work in the domains of Space Situational Awareness, Space Surveillance and Tracking, Space Traffic Management, Near Earth Objects, stellar and planetary research, education, and commercial on-demand observations

Your Responibilities

• Unifying, automating, evolving and scaling the company’s software products architecture.
• Improving customer satisfaction, software quality, performance via architecture.
• Evaluating standards, interfaces, managing their implementation and proposing changes in the Space Traffic Management domain.
• Checking conformance of future and existing requirements and existing architecture to product roadmap – proposing changes to software architecture to fulfill roadmap.
• Creating high and mid-level specifications and design documents.
• Guiding, training, and assisting the development team through the software lifecycle process with focus on design, re-design, efficiency.
• Proposing, creating, and reevaluating software patterns, as well as promoting best practices in software design.
• Support of testing environment with focus on automation, integration, functional, regression tests.
• Acceptance testing.

Requirements

• Higher education in engineering or STEM (bachelor or master – preferred).
• Experience with ASP.NET. and SQL.
• 3 years of experience with C# .NET.
• 3 years of experience with a Lead/Architect role.
• Experience with writing technical design documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Pragmatic approach to balancing process and flexibility in achieving objectives.
• Communication skills in English (min B2).

Nice to Have

• Experience with distributed systems.
• Experience with other languages (Python, JavaScript).
• Experience with message queues and event streaming systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Experience with Azure Active Directory.
• Experience with frameworks for user interfaces e.g. Angular or Blazor.
• Experience with Enterprise Architect or similar software.

Terms of employment

• Remote employment model (Bydgoszcz/Zielonka) – occasional visits.
• Salary: 22000 – 28000 PLN on B2B contract, depending on your experience and qualifications
