Description & Requirements

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead Software Developer to join our team in the Fort Meade, Maryland area.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Makes product decisions from an extensive knowledge of data pipeline techniques and issues, including Application Programming Interface (API) access and integration; pre-processing; cloud security, process, and schema optimization; and the pros and cons of programming languages and associated packages
Lead and direct the Engineering Team to promptly deliver best-in-class technical solutions
Design and develop cloud-based software solutions designed to ingest and process data from various sources and contribute to solutions that provide predictive models with raw data
The Software Developer Lead is a SME with expertise in all phases of application development. Supervises and mentors subordinate project staff. They share work and collaborate with other Soft Developers

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Software Development or related discipline
Twelve or more (12+) years of position-specific relevant experience
Experience leading a software development team
Hold one of the following certifications within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order:
- CCNA-Security
- CySA+
- GICSP
- GSEC
- Security+ CE
- CND
- SSCP
Without a bachelors degree, four (4) additional years of experience are required
With an Associate’s degree rather than a Bachelors degree, two (2) additional years of experience are required
Candidates with a Masters degree are credited with 2 additional years of experience
Candidates with a PhD are credited with 4 additional years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Software Development or related discipline
Experience in an Agile development environment
Relevant industry standard certifications
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert

Clearance Requirements:

Must have a current/active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

The projected compensation range for this position is $170,700.00-$283,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
