Our platform, Workcloud, combines HR functions with time management, leave, and payroll services, catering to a wide range of clients from both foreign and Japanese markets.

As a Rails Developer, you are not just coding; you are engineering the backbone of our business solutions. With a significant focus on backend development, your role will be pivotal in architecting and enhancing large-scale features for Workcloud. Your day-to-day will involve iterating our system to meet evolving regulatory demands and user needs. What You’ll Get To Do

• Innovate and Implement: Design and deploy sophisticated features across the full stack of our application.
• Troubleshoot and Optimize: Dive deep into debugging production issues and refining system performance.
• Collaborate and Create: Work alongside a culturally rich team of both Japanese and English speakers to deliver top-tier products.
• Elevate Engineering Practices: Drive code quality and consistency, bringing innovations to our development processes.
• Knowledge Sharing: Engage in peer code reviews and craft detailed technical documentation.

Skills And Experience We Value

• Experienced: You have at least 3 years of Ruby on Rails expertise and are proficient with TDD.
• Communicative: Fluent in English, with conversational Japanese as a significant plus.
• Technically Versatile: Skilled in SQL, familiar with our tech stack (Ruby on Rails, MySQL, jQuery, Kubernetes), and you have a knack for building aesthetically pleasing UIs with SASS.
• Innovative Thinker: You consider system performance integral to your development process, possibly with some cloud infrastructure knowledge.

What Would Make You Really Stand Out

• Conversational Japanese capabilities.
• Experience in cloud infrastructure, especially Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, ArgoCD pipelines
• Prior domain knowledge within payroll and HR tech
