Who We Are Seeking

Left Field Labs is currently looking to partner with Freelancers and Independent Contractors remotely! If you are a forward thinking human ready to work on cutting edge technologies with an out of the box creative imagination, then we invite you to join us as we build our rosters and enrich our teams!

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to lead the frontend development of our client’s prototype to display more personalized consumer media recommendations to customers as they browse the prototype. An Engineer on this project would work primarily on the frontend side of the application, integrating REST APIs into the prototype, developing new React UI components, and setting up admin pages to support in person customer testing.

We’re looking for someone who has a passion for “Data Science” projects and a curiosity for Generative AI technologies. Someone who is ok with writing throwaway code and iterating quickly vs writing production level frontend code. They are able to work on their own and lead the development on the frontend side while working with our backend engineering partners.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Build high-quality, functional prototypes that convey and advance the vision of future products
• Collaborate with design leadership and key stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
• Work alongside designers, researchers, PMs, and engineers to drive concepts from idea to implementation
• Advance design thinking by leveraging your platform expertise (e.g. web, mobile, TV)

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $115,00 – 140,000. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Culver City, California. This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Required Skills

What You’ll Need to be Successful

• 6+ years of front-end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper experience
• Have coding samples in front end programming languages

• Technologies Preferred: React.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vite, ESLint, Framer Motion, Git, Redux

• Technologies Preferred: Figma or Protopie experience
