Software Engineer Numerical Algorithms Wfh (Remote)

We are expanding our dynamic team and are on the lookout for skilled Numerical Algorithm Software Engineers to spearhead the development of innovative sensor data processing technologies and scientific solutions that are pivotal in supporting national security and defense initiatives. Our primary focus is on delivering state-of-the-art data exploitation capabilities for various U.S. Government programs, especially within the Department of Defense.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and develop new algorithms for remote sensor data exploitation.
• Exhibit proficiency in Python and C++, demonstrating strong software design and architecture skills.
• Construct proof-of-concept tools for signal processing and data exploitation utilizing Python.
• Enhance Python-based tools that support machine learning, modeling, and simulation efforts.
• Assess the performance and quality of algorithms and sensor systems.
• Collaborate in an Agile team environment and contribute to shared development tools.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as necessary.

Required Skills

• Expertise in Python and C++ programming languages.
• Strong foundations in software design and architecture principles.
• Familiarity with signal processing, image processing, and data exploitation methodologies.
• Experience with Agile software development practices.
• Ability to evaluate performance metrics and quality standards of algorithms and sensor systems.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience with C++, Python, and Linux operating environments (educational qualifications may compensate for part of this experience).
• Experience in handling OPIR, E/O, SAR, Spectral, RF, or other forms of remote sensing data.
• Capacity to work full-time on-site in Boulder, CO.
• Meticulous attention to detail.

Compensation And Benefits

This role provides a highly competitive salary range of (117,000 – )168,000 per year, influenced by individual role responsibilities, experience levels, and educational background.
