Software Engineer (Remote)

We’re a Berlin-based, remote-first SaaS start-up, providing market intelligence solutions to the Automotive industry. We’re expanding and looking for a (Senior) Backend Developer to strengthen our international team.

Your responsibilities

• Architecture / planning and defining technologies / frameworks / tools;
• Develop APIs and microservices with high quality and following strict code standards, using functional languages like Elixir to complete your tasks;
• Define best practices and standards and make sure we’re applying them;
• Code reviews;
• Ensure an efficient and effective development process;
• Consider and optimize for customer needs, business goals and technical efficiency.

Your profile

• Tech knowledge and several years of experience in line with our tech stack: Elixir, GraphQL, PostgreSQL / Timescale and ElasticSearch;
• Experience working with large amounts of data, building and optimizing complex queries for highest performance;
• Familiarity with operating applications in cloud environment;
• First hand experience and knowledge of best practices and state-of-the-art methodologies incl. planning, requirements gathering, agile methodologies
• Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills;
• Pragmatism and focus on generating the most business value;
• Strong communication skills, passion for software development & love for challenges;
• You’re a team player;
• English fluency, with level C1 or better;
• Required location: Europe or South America.
