Job Description:

As a Software Engineer at Zomato, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. Youll work on a variety of projects, from backend systems to customer-facing features, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to build new features and improve existing ones. The role involves writing efficient code, solving complex problems, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain software solutions that are scalable, efficient, and secure.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver features that meet user needs.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices to ensure high-quality code.
• Identify and fix bugs, improve performance, and optimize the system for reliability.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices to bring innovative ideas to the team.
• Work in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning and daily stand-ups.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 0 to 5+ years of experience in software development. Fresh graduates with a strong coding background are also welcome.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, or Ruby.
• Experience with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js, Django, Spring).
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and SQL.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
• Basic knowledge of version control systems like Git.
• Ability to work on both backend and frontend tasks is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and structured approach to coding.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
