What you ll be doing
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs using modern
technologies and best practices.
- Lead architectural discussions and provide technical guidance to ensure the
reliability, scalability, and performance of our e-commerce environment.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to
translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement integrations with third-party services and payment gateways, to
enhance the functionality of our environment.
- Optimize application performance and ensure high availability and fault tolerance
using cloud-native technologies and services.
- Champion best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment automation to
ensure the stability and maintainability of our software.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and propose
innovative solutions to address business challenges.
- Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and
improvement within the engineering team.
What we re looking for
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or
equivalent work experience).
- Strong proficiency in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS,
JavaScript (including modern frameworks like Svelte), and Node.js.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms, desirable in the context of Edge
Computing, particularly Cloudflare, including services such as Workers, Workers KV,
R2, D1.
- In-depth knowledge of e-commerce platforms and frameworks such as Shopify,
WooCommerce, Magento, or similar.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and experience building and
consuming APIs.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL,
MongoDB, etc.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration
tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in
production environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with
cross-functional teams.
- Certifications are a plus.
- Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing
authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
