#### *About the Role*:
We are looking for an experienced *Web Scraper* to join our team, responsible for gathering data from various online sources related to tourist attractions, restaurants, hotels, and other points of interest. This role will primarily focus on using automated tools such as *Selenium* or similar technologies to extract valuable information from websites like *Google, **TripAdvisor, **Booking.com*, and other related platforms.
As a Web Scraper, you will be responsible for building and maintaining web scraping processes, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data on ratings, reviews, timings, location details, and other important attributes. You will play a key role in populating our database with reliable data to enhance our offerings and improve the user experience.

#### *Key Responsibilities*:
*Web Scraping & Data Collection: Use tools like **Selenium, **BeautifulSoup*, or other scraping technologies to extract data from key travel-related websites, including Google, TripAdvisor, Booking.com, Yelp, and others.
*Data Points*: Focus on scraping important information such as:
– *Ratings* and *Reviews* (including quantity and sentiment analysis)
– *Opening Hours* and *Timings*
– *Location* (Address, Coordinates, Map Links)
– *Contact Details* (Phone, Email, Social Media Links)
– *Description* and *Facilities* (e.g., Wi-Fi, pet-friendly, etc.)
– *Price Range* and *Availability* (for hotels and restaurants)
*Data Accuracy*: Ensure the data collected is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. Perform quality checks and clean the data to meet our standards.
*Database Management*: Integrate scraped data into our central database, ensuring proper categorization, tagging, and organization for easy access and analysis.
*Automation & Efficiency*: Design and maintain automated scraping workflows to capture data on an ongoing basis, minimizing manual intervention. Develop error-handling protocols and ensure the scraping scripts run smoothly at scale.
*Compliance & Ethics*: Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations (e.g., website terms of service, data privacy laws) to ensure scraping is ethical and legal.
*Reporting & Analysis*: Provide periodic updates on data collection progress and insights, highlighting key trends or patterns in the gathered data.

#### *Requirements*:
*Experience: Proven experience in web scraping, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry. Familiarity with tools such as **Selenium, **Scrapy, **BeautifulSoup*, or other scraping libraries and frameworks.
*Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in **Python, with experience using libraries such as **Pandas, **Requests, and **JSON* for data manipulation and processing.
*Knowledge of Databases*: Experience with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to store and query scraped data efficiently.
*Attention to Detail*: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when collecting and processing large datasets.
*Problem-Solving*: Ability to troubleshoot issues related to scraping (e.g., CAPTCHA, anti-scraping mechanisms, IP blocking) and find workarounds.
*Communication Skills*: Clear communication skills to report progress and challenges to the team and stakeholders.
*Ethical and Legal Awareness*: Understanding of scraping best practices, including respect for website terms and conditions, and adherence to privacy and data protection laws.

*Experience with Cloud Platforms*: Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud) for running and scaling scraping tasks is a plus.
*Familiarity with APIs*: Experience using public APIs to collect data when available as an alternative to scraping.
*Data Analysis*: Basic knowledge of data analysis techniques (e.g., sentiment analysis, data visualization) to provide deeper insights from the scraped data.
*Experience in Travel/Location-Based Data*: Familiarity with the tourism, hospitality, or travel industry is a plus.
