Location: Southeast Asia (Preference for Indonesia and the Philippines, but open to other nearby regions)

Compensation: $10 – $20 USD per hour (based on experience)

Role & Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer at Acodei, you will:

• Investigate & Resolve Issues: You will act as an initial troubleshooting point for customer-reported bugs. You will diagnose problems and either fix them yourself or create detailed tickets for the rest of the team.
• Feature Development: Work closely with our lead engineer to develop new functionality, enhance existing features, and ensure the app scales smoothly.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in code reviews and QA tasks to maintain high-quality standards and a reliable product experience.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years as a software developer/engineer, preferably with experience in full-stack roles.
• Tech Stack: Proficiency in Laravel, Go, and React + Next.js is essential. Familiarity with AWS, databases (MySQL), and modern development practices is a plus.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Comfortable working through ambiguous tasks and finding creative, efficient solutions independently.
• Communication: Strong English proficiency—both spoken and written. You’ll collaborate with an English- and Indonesian-speaking lead engineer and a global team.
• Location & Availability: Located in Southeast Asia, available to work starting at 6 AM Jakarta time to maintain smooth communication and support coverage.
