We are seeking a Software QA Engineer to join our Engineering Team at Impartner! As a QA Automation Engineer at Impartner, you will design testing procedures and test drive our software applications. In this role, you will handle analyzing the functionality of applications and designing automated tests to validate their performance. You will also be required to identify bugs and collaborate closely with the software design team. To ensure success as a QA Automation Engineer, you should have programming skills, a keen eye for detail, self-motivated, results-oriented, and excellent project management skills. A skilled QA Automation Engineer can design and write efficient tests, has excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and a proven ability to perform automation testing for any software application.

While this is a 100% remote-based position, we are only considering candidates based in the United Kingdom. Please note that we will not be accepting any candidates for this role based outside of the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities shall include, but not limited to the following:

  • Collaborate with product development team to plan new features.
  • Participate in planning and scoping meetings for future projects.
  • Collaborating with the design team
  • Identifying software application weaknesses and target areas
  • Reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas
  • Writing automation scripts and implementing software applications
  • Troubleshooting automation software and finalizing system procedures
  • Identifying quality issues and creating test reports
  • Writing test cases for new and existing products functionality
  • Troubleshoot, debug, resolve product issues as they arise.
  • Maintain documentation of test results; analyze test results.
  • Stay current with new technology trends.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar field; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Previous experience working as a QA Automation Engineer
  • Programming skills including automation systems.
  • Familiarity with programming script languages
  • Demonstrated ability to work with databases.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with CI tools to monitor test automation such as Gitlab.
  • Experience writing tests with Selenium, or other relevant tools.
  • Experience with API’s using Postman, or comparable tools.
  • Working knowledge using (bug tracking) in Jira, Bugzilla, or similar tools
  • Working knowledge of performance and scalability testing such as JMeter, LoadUI, etc.
  • Experience working with databases such as MongoDB, or SQL
  • Experience working on an Agile/Scrum development team.
  • Ability to identify, own, and solve problems independently or as part of a team.
